The following April, he ventured onto Spotify with a self-titled EP, an artistic departure from his earlier style, incorporating jazz, 70s synth-pop, and classical influences. His next project was Cameron Summers Sings Folk Songs, a collection of traditional folk songs, employing recording techniques reminiscent of John Lomax's ethnomusicological work from the 1920s and 30s. Subsequently, in December 2021, his cover of the traditional Canadian logging song, "How We Got Up To The Woods Last Year," went viral on TikTok, amassing over 56,000 views, underscoring his widespread appeal.
Following a short hiatus, Cameron's musical output transitioned to singles, starting with the captivating "Azrael," which embraced listeners with warm, nostalgic allure and visions of quaint pastoralism.
